OUR VISION

In 2012 Kristen’s Dance Studio (KDS) was established in Forbes, a significant regional town in Central West NSW, Australia. Seven incredible years on, KDS is privileged to provide dance tuition and dance class to students coming from Forbes, Grenfell, Condoblin, Parkes and Trundle.  KDS is committed to servicing the youth and the dance community in Central West NSW with choice and opportunity.  

Ms Kristen Woods has been a true pioneer in her field, offering rural students a happy and healthy pathway for their mental and physical development through dance education. Kristen has carefully curated a strong teacher base that deepens each year. Dance is a perfect platform for other learning, building confidence, self-esteem and social interactions. Kristen and her studio are completely committed to a positive, supportive and nurturing learning environment.

Kristen’s Dance Studio believe students deserve care of body and soul during their training, a huge priority is to ensure that students of all abilities gain skill and enjoyment from their learning whilst in tuition at the dance studio. Passion lead teaching is at the core of KDS; where dance training is offered by experienced and enthusiastic teachers with a genuine love of dance and a want to see others learn and grow.

Kristen and her teachers wish to impart to their students knowledge of their body and dance skills of a premier standard, but not at the expense of having fun.  KDS is committed to fun filled learning where enjoyment and personal satisfaction underpins all teaching and events.  

At Kristen's Dance Studio we use the Australian Dance Vision Syllabus in both Ballet and Jazz, offering assessments in Ballet only.  Each dance level contains an age based progression allowing for both physical and mental development from beginners to pre-professional levels and is paced to suit the formative years of a young dancer's physical and cognitive development.

From the outset Kristen’s Dance Studio has respected the future life of each and every one of its students, marvelling at their journey and their destinations, feeling proud of all current and past students.  Kristen Woods, the Studio Founder, refers to these students as the KDS family.
