CLASS UNIFORMS

Kristen’s Dance Studio has customised uniforms available for Jazz, Hip Hop and Tiny Dancers/Tumblers. All dance students are encouraged to wear KDS dance basics apparel to and from classes at the studio, and to all events where a student is representing the Studio. For ease of action, all KDS uniforms can now be bought online. Please note the KDS Summer uniform will be re-stocked in January/February and the Winter uniform order will always be taken in advance. So an order taken in Term 1 will mean a delivery in Term 2 and an order taken in Term 2 will be delivered for Term 3. 

Please be advised that all shoes, stockings and ballet leotards can be purchased from our friends at Sportspower in Forbes.  Further we have an active Eco-uniform programme underway at KDS, preloved dance items are available at the studio and are individually priced by the Seller. Please check this out as a great initiative.

TINY DANCERS/TUMBLERS

  • KDS customised Tiny Dancers leotard

  • Ballet shoes with single elastic over top of foot (no jiffies). Please tuck in elastic bows at front of shoe

  • Ballet stockings in Winter

Boys:

  • Black KDS boys shorts or plain black tights

  • KDS boys singlet

  • Black ballet shoes

JAZZ & ACRO

  • Adults may wear comfortable active wear or a KDS customised singlet

  • Tracksuit pants may be worn in Hip Hop for winter. Otherwise these are only to be worn as an over garment and for warmup

  • Hair to be worn in a ponytail/braid for hip hop

  • KDS customised boys or mens singlet top

  • Black sport shorts or tights

  • Black joggers or sneakers

BALLET

Beginners, Primary, Preparatory & Level 1:

  • Light blue leotard

  • No skirts

  • Ballet stockings are to be worn all year round

  • Ballet shoes with elastic over foot (PLEASE NO RIBBONS AT THIS AGE)

  • Light blue crossover top (optional) in Winter

  • Hair to be in ballet bun every lesson

Boys:

  • Black tights

  • White fitted singlet

  • Black ballet shoes

Level 2, Level 3 & Level 4:

  • Navy leotard

  • Ballet shoes with ballet ribbons

  • Ballet stockings are to be worn all year round

  • Black character. There are shoes kept at studio to be borrowed, it is up to you if you wish to purchase your child their own pair through Sportspower or a Bloch Store

  • Hair to be in ballet bun every lesson

Boys:

  • Black tights

  • White fitted singlet

  • Black ballet shoes

  • Demi pointe shoes are also necessary and will be worn at least one lesson each week as pre-pointe preparation

  • Pointe shoes – only once ready and student has been directed by teacher to purchase

  • Ballet stockings are to be worn all year round

  • Hair to be in ballet bun every lesson

Boys:
